~ Grow Instructions ~

• Timing: Plant seeds outdoors after all danger of frost has passed and soil is warm (around 70-85°F).
• Location: Full sun (6+ hours) is best.
• Soil: Rich, loose, well-draining soil amended with compost.
• Depth & Spacing:
• Tubers: Plant 4-6 inches deep with the "eye" (bud) facing up, spaced 9-12 inches apart for smaller varieties.
• Seeds: Sow 1/4 inch deep, spaced 12-18 inches apart.
• Support: Stake taller plants (over 3 feet) at planting time to prevent toppling. 

~ Care Instructions ~

• Watering: Water consistently, keeping soil moist like a "wrung-out sponge," but avoid overhead watering to prevent mildew; water at the soil level.
• Fertilizing: Feed with a balanced flower fertilizer a month after planting and regularly during the growing season.
• Deadheading: Pinch off spent blooms (deadhead) to encourage continuous flowering.
• Pests: Watch for slugs and snails on seedlings; use slug bait if needed.
